Digital art refers to artistic work created through the use of digital technology.
Digital imaging programs allow an artist to express his/her feelings and create out of ordinary images works that speak to the world and enriches each and everyone's experience. It differs from "photo art" because it does not try to capture an image and modify it to fit societal expectations, desires or trends.
A computer, and the digital manipulations that it allows to create, is just another tool for creative people to use to enrich our life. It is a "digital darkroom", not different from a photographer's darkroom or the paint brush and colours that a painter uses in creating visual images on a piece of canvas.
The work I create is based on what we see in our everyday experience, whether a flower in a field, a smile of a little girl, or a balcony in an old town. With my art I can capture your feelings or memories and provide you with an image on print or canvas to cherish.
